UQ Announces Start of WiMAX Services in Hiroshima and Fukuoka

TOKYO, October 19, 2009 -UQ Communications Inc. today announced that its UQ WiMAX service area has been expanded to Hiroshima and Fukuoka, in addition to existing services in the metropolitan districts of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

UQ continues to deploy wireless base stations as it expands UQ WiMAX service areas across additional cities and prefectural capitals, in accordance with government ordinance. UQ`s ongoing deployment effort is intended to achieve nationwide coverage as soon as possible.
