Expansion in Eleven Airports

TOKYO, September 15, 2011 - UQ Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Akio Nozaka) announced that UQ WiMAX service coverage was expanded to cover Niigata Airport、Komatsu Airport、Hiroshima Airport、Takamatsu Airport、Matsuyama Airport、Nagasaki Airport、Oita Airport、Kumamoto Airport、Miyazaki Airport、Kagoshima Airport and Naha Airport.
With the expansion, UQ service is available in 26 airports nationwide.
As of August 31,2011, UQ is providing WiMAX service in 651 municipalities across Japan. The population coverage reached 72% of whole nation, and it became more than 95% in metropolitan area.
In addition to the airports, UQ is expanding its covered area along railways in Kanto metropolitan, Chubu and Kansai to offer more reliable WiMAX conection.
