UQ Communications Announces Upgrade of "Multiple WiMAX Devices Option" Functions

More convenient with setting connection priority


TOKYO, November 15, 2010 - UQ Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Akio Nozaka) today announced that Upgrade of "Multiple WiMAX Devices Option *1"

which offers connection priority setting from Tuesday, November 16, 2010.


In case of Former Multiple WiMAX Devices Option, Device which connects earlier will disconnect when another device is connected. This upgrade of functions offers possibility of connection priority setting. *2 It is possible to setting connection priority as customer needs including outside use with Tablet device, or Internet connection at Home. Flexible WiMAX connection control offers more comfortable and more convenient WiMAX service.


*1 The subscribers with UQ Flat Yearly Passport, UQ Flat or UQ Step can apply this option. This option offers enabling a maximum of two additional WiMAX devices on a single contract at 200 yen per device. This option is not allow multiple registered WiMAX devices, to connect simultaneously

*2 If customer doesn't change any settings, it works same as Former Multiple WiMAX Device Option.
