WiMAX Uplink Speed Become Higher
- More Convenient for Data Uploading with Maximum 15.4Mbps communication-


TOKYO, November 14, 2011 - UQ Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Akio Nozaka, hereafter: UQ) today announced that UQ will adopt 64QAM modulation for uplink on WiMAX in this December, and the maximum downlink speed(*) will be 15.4Mbps.


This time, UQ will adopt 64QAM modulation for uplink, the maximum downlink speed will be change 10Mbps to 15.4Mbps in the place with good condition of WiMAX signal. High speed uplink communication brings comfortable data uploading including movie upload.


UQ will announce high speed uplink enabled devices on UQ homepage later.


UQ Communications will continue to offer new internet experiences, enhanced WiMAX service offerings, and expand area coverage


* Maximum system speed of mobile WiMAX. Actual speed depends on condition of signals and equipment.
