“WiMAX Area ZENRYOKU-SENGEN Project” for More Comfortable Area

TOKYO, November 21, 2011 - UQ Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Akio Nozaka, hereafter: UQ) promotes installing base stations across Japan for high quality service area of WiMAX; a high speed mobile Internet service.

Actual popuration coverage rate reaches 95% for Government-designated cities (*1) and 99% for major cities in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.

This time, UQ tries area expanding and improving quality of coverage area as an activity “WiMAX Area ZENRYOKU-SENGEN Project”, for striving to fully satisfy customer needs and accelerate area coverage and improving quality, receiving request from customers. The actual number of population coverage will be reached 100 million (*2) by the end of March, 2012.
