  1. A separate SIM package fee of 3,000 yen and a universal service fee of 2 yen/month (as of February 2016) will be charged.
    This is the rate when the "Sma-toku" Discount is applied. The Sma-toku Discount provides a 1,000 yen/month discount on the basic service fee of 3,980 yen/month for up to 25 months from the initial billing month. However, the Sma-toku Discount is not applied when transferring from an au service provided by KDDI Corporation or Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company or when performing an MNP changeover from an MNVO service which utilizes the au network. From the 26th month onward, a long-term usage discount of 1,000 yen/month will be applied. Neither the Sma-toku Discount nor the long-term usage discount will be applied to the contract cancellation month.
    The contract period shall be 25 months from the month of the billing start date. (The 25th month is the "contract expiration month" and the subsequent month is the "renewal month.") If no application for contract cancellation is received, the contract will automatically be renewed for another 24 months from the renewal date. If the contract is canceled in any month other than the renewal month, a contract cancellation fee of 9,500 yen shall be charged.

    Customers who sign up for the Pittari Plan and, at the same time, purchase a smartphone model designated by UQ mobile will receive a monthly discount specified by UQ mobile, based upon the phone model purchased and not exceeding the amount of the basic monthly service fee, which will be applied from the 2nd contract month until the 25th contract month.
    [Device Purchasing Assistance Fee Contract]
    ・It is possible to lessen the one-time cost burden of purchasing a smartphone if a customer purchases a UQ mobile smartphone and pays the device purchasing assistance added fee for 24 or more months following purchase.
    ・If the device purchasing assistance fee contract is canceled, a device purchasing assistance cancellation fee will be incurred based upon the number of months used. Please go here for more details.
    ・If application of the device purchasing assistance added fee and the monthly discount begin in different months, the monthly discount will not be applied to the initial month and the contract cancellation month. The device purchasing assistance added fee will be added to the basic monthly service fee.

Tappuri Option

Get more free phone calls and data allowance for just 1,000 yen/month extra!

With the Tappuri Option, you get 2,400 yen (up to 60 minutes) of free phone calls and a 3GB data allowance each month for an extra 1,000 yen/month. It is also possible to apply this option on a per-month basis. You can easily add or remove this option based on the amount of data you actually use in a month.

The Tappuri Option will be applied from the month after the one in which it was applied for. If applied for at the same time as a subscriber agreement, it will be applied from the initial billing month.

What is my UQ mobile ID/password?

This is the ID/password you will need when using "my UQ mobile."

You choose your ID and password when you log in to "my UQ mobile" for the first time.
At that time you will need the "Receipt Number" that was issued for your new user application (10 half-width alphanumeric characters) and the personal identification number which you registered (4 half-width alphanumeric characters).

Can the Tappuri Option be added to the "High-speed Data + Voice Calling Plan" and the "Unlimited Data + Voice Calling Plan?"

No, it cannot.
The Tappuri Option is limited to Pittati Plan users.

I have changed the credit card that I use to make payments with.

You can register your card change using"my UQ mobile."

I want to add the Tappuri Option to the Pittari Plan.

To sign up for or cancel the Tappuri Option, please utilize "my UQ mobile." In the section for changing plans, please choose a plan which includes the Tappuri Option.
You will need to change your SIM card if you are switching between a VoLTE device plan and a non-VoLTE device plan.

  • The Tappuri Option will be applied from the month after the one in which it was applied for. However, if application is made on the last day of the month, the Tappuri Option may not be applied until two months later.
  • If you switch between a VoLTE device plan and a non-VoLTE device plan, the new plan will go into effect when you begin using the new SIM card. However, please be aware that the you will not be able to utilize the call-waiting option during the month in which you switch to a VoLTE plan.
Will I have a phone number, even if I have a data-only plan?

Telephone numbers are issued even for data-only plans that do not include voice calling service.
