  1. If a rate plan is cancelled during the minimum usage period, a cancellation fee (¥9,500) is incurred.
  • In addition to the charges above, a SIM package fee of ¥3,000 is incurred as an initial cost.
  • Dedicated data plans and plans including voice calls cannot be switched.
  • Depending on the SIM type (LTE or VoLTE), an appropriate SIM service plan (LTE plan or VoLTE plan) will be allotted.
  • “Call Waiting Service” is optional (¥200/month) on the VoLTE plan.
  • If you wish to change from the LTE plan to the VoLTE plan, cancel “Call Waiting Service” before changing your plan.
  • Please apply for “Call Waiting Service” (¥200/month) if you wish to use Call Waiting Service after changing from the LTE plan to the VoLTE plan.

Regarding communication speed restrictions

To maintain network quality and equal access for other users, a limit will be placed on the communication speed for users whose communication usage exceeds 3GB in the past three days (ending the day before with the time period from 00:00 to 24:00 being counted as one day).

Regarding communication amount notification

If using the High-Speed Data Plan or High-Speed Data + Voice Call Plan: You are notified with an email when the amount of communications that you use in a month reaches 2.5GB or the upper limit of the monthly data quantity.

  • This is a best-effort service. Note that the maximum communication speed is not the actual communication speed, but the maximum value based on technical standards. The actual speed may fall substantially short of the maximum for various reasons including your usage environment and the traffic amount even within supported service areas.
  • The minimum usage period for a Voice Call Plan is 12 months, starting from the day on which you begin use. Cancellation during the minimum usage period incurs a cancellation fee of ¥9,500.
  • The date from which charges are incurred (usage start date) is 7 days after UQ mobile sends a SIM card or the day on which the first packet occurs, whichever comes first.
  • LTE is used for data communications, and the 3G network is used for voice calls. Multi SIM (for VoLTE) voice calls use LTE.
  • Universal service charge is separately incurred.
  • Monthly basic charges in the usage start month and the cancellation month are calculated on a prorated basis.
  • Monthly data quantity is not calculated on a prorated basis. Therefore, the basic data quantity can be used even during the usage start month regardless of the start date.
  • Use of contents may incur additional data charges. Also, packet communication charges are incurred regardless of whether information charges are incurred.
  • Packet communication charges are incurred even if data are not received correctly.
  • Outbound Port25 Blocking is implemented as an additional measure against unwanted mail.
